چکیده :
There is a spectrum in defining the relation between the theology of peace and artificial intelligence (AI). One side pays attention to the benefits of AI for peace. Another side focuses on threatening AI for the theology of peace. This paper explores the complex interaction of AI and the quest for peace within religious and theological discourse. The paper engages in a critical review of literature that examines both optimistic and cautious perspectives on the role of AI in peacemaking. On the positive side, it examines the potential benefits that AI can bring concerning interfaith dialogue, de-escalation, and tolerance. On the negative side, it examines the risks of an insensible AI, misinterpretation of religious texts, and perpetuation of biases through data training. Ultimately, the paper concludes that while AI possesses immense potential as a peacebuilding tool, its development and execution would have to be prudently considered in terms of ethical dimensions and controlled by humans. Maintaining a balance between the possible benefits of AI and the requirements of human-centeredness is necessary to ensure that technology conforms to higher goals in the pursuit of peace, understanding, and justice.
